“Such vicious plans will never succeed,” Mehmood Shah said, adding, “India is plotting deadly conspiracies and will fall to any extent for political gains.” He said the lives of Dukhtaran-e-Millat leadership are in danger. The LeT chief appealed to United Nations to “take notice of India's atrocities and play due proactive role in securing the release of Syeda Aasiya Andrabi and her associates”.

Mehmood Shah hailed the move by joint resistance leadership (JRL) of observing complete shutdown and maintaining civil curfew against the shifting of Aasiya Andrabi and her associates. “The people should fully cooperate with the leadership to make the strike a success,” he said.
